Where the figures come from, and how we work them out:
Data sources and how the figures are worked out
Data sources and conversion to US dollars
We read symbol information separately from Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero MT5 demo accounts held in USD. The figures are estimates worked out from those platform prices, and your trading account statement shows what each trade actually cost.
Exness states that demo and live accounts have the same trading conditions, so the tool uses demo account data. Exness: demo trading account (opens in a new tab)
The average, lowest and highest spreads and the spread cost use the samples with a confirmed conversion. The total scales the spread cost to your lot size and adds the commission for both sides, at the latest confirmed rate.
Spreads are shown in pips for currency pairs, metals and energies, and in points for indices, crypto and stocks. Costs are shown in USD. For gold (XAUUSD), 1 pip is a price move of $0.10 per troy ounce, on a contract size of 100 troy ounces per lot.
Our spread tools for other brokers count gold the same way, so you can compare brokers directly. Exness quotes gold to one more decimal place and counts $0.01 as a pip, so its own pages show ten times our figure for the same cost in US dollars.
24-hour averages, labels and timestamps
- 24h average spread
- We save samples at regular intervals, and each valid sample from the 24 hours up to the cut-off time counts once, with equal weight. A confirmed spread of zero counts as a sample of 0. Together, the samples show the general level through the day.
- Unconfirmed
- Unconfirmed stands in for an amount until its commission rate and currency conversion are confirmed, and $0.00 is a calculated zero cost. Open the row to see which part is pending. While the conversion is pending, the spread still shows, from all valid samples.
- Market closed
- Outside an instrument’s regular trading hours, the row reads Market closed · showing figures from before the close, with an Earlier average spread. Earlier figures also appear when a recent price is missing during trading hours.
All times are UTC. Data received, at the top of the tool, shows when the latest data arrived. In an open row, How these figures are measured gives Samples used, the period behind the average, and Latest price.
What the figures cover
The tool covers the spread and the commission for both sides, at your lot size. The Exness swap calculator shows the swap on a position held overnight, and rebates are credited separately on your trading.
The 1-lot gold table under the first heading uses the same 24-hour averages, saved from our forex rebate comparison at 15:36 UTC on 9 October 2026. The rebate in that table is what ForexFanClub pays per lot.
Official Exness sources on account conditions, trading commission, demo accounts and published spread averages checked on 9 October 2026 (UTC). This date is separate from the tool’s data update times.

Which Exness Account Has the Lowest Spread?
The Zero account has the tightest spread at Exness, but a gold trade does not cost less there. On gold, Zero’s spread is about half the spread on the Raw Spread account, and Zero charges a larger commission. So a 1-lot gold trade comes to about $15 on both accounts.
The Pro and Standard accounts have no commission, because the whole cost is inside a wider spread. A 1-lot gold trade costs about $17 on Pro and $25 on Standard.
1 lot of gold, 24-hour average
| Before the rebate | After the rebate | |
|---|---|---|
| Raw Spread account | $15.11 | $12.41 |
| Zero account | $15.11 | $12.41 |
| Pro account | $17.17 | $13.30 |
| Standard account | $24.53 | $15.70 |
The cost before the rebate is the spread plus the commission. The rebate is what ForexFanClub pays you per lot, and the Exness rebate guide shows how much you receive on each account.
The rebate narrows the gap between the accounts, but the order stays the same. Standard pays the largest rebate, about three times the rebate on Raw Spread. Even so, a gold trade still costs the most on Standard after the rebate.
If you trade gold, the Raw Spread and Zero accounts cost the least at Exness, with or without the ForexFanClub rebate. On 1 lot of gold, you pay about $3.30 less than on Standard after the rebate.
Between the two, we prefer Raw Spread. On gold, the two accounts end up at the same total cost, but on Bitcoin and the stock market indices, Zero’s larger commission makes it the more expensive account. The commission section shows the numbers.
Exness spreads keep changing, so the cheapest account for your instrument can change too. Check Total cost in the tool from time to time, and compare the accounts again before you open a new trading account.
Switch between the accounts at the top of the tool to compare the cost on the instrument you trade.
What Spread Does Exness Publish for Each Account?
Exness publishes a “from” spread for each account. It is the lowest level the account reaches, and the spread on a normal trading day is wider.

Account conditions published by Exness: Standard account (opens in a new tab), Pro, Raw Spread and Zero accounts (opens in a new tab).
On the Standard account, for example, the spread starts from 0.2 pips, and our 24-hour average on EURUSD is 0.90 pips. So use the published figures to see the order of the accounts, and use the tool for the cost of your trade.
Gold needs one more check, because Exness counts gold pips differently from this page. Exness quotes gold to one more decimal place and counts $0.01 as a pip.
So the 2.45 pips in our tool for gold on Standard show as 24.5 pips on Exness’s own pages. The cost in US dollars is the same.
What Commission Does Exness Charge?
Only the Raw Spread and Zero accounts charge a commission at Exness, and Zero charges more on most instruments. On 1 lot of gold, the commission for opening and closing is $7 on Raw Spread and $11 on Zero. Exness: Raw Spread and Zero accounts (opens in a new tab)
Exness takes the commission for both sides when you open the position. On Zero, the spread on 1 lot of gold is only about $4, so most of the cost is the commission. On Bitcoin, Zero’s spread is zero, and a 1-lot trade costs about $8.75 on Zero and $4.95 on Raw Spread.
Paying the cost as a commission also helps your trading. With a spread close to zero, you buy near the price on your chart, so your stop and target sit where you planned them. Any gap between your order price and your fill price is then mostly slippage, so slippage is easier to see.
The commission also appears as its own line in your trading account statement. So the cost is easy to record, for example for tax.
So a zero spread does not mean a cheap trade, and Total cost in the tool adds both parts. To check the rate for one instrument, open Contract specifications under the Trading menu in your Exness Personal Area.
Why Does Your MT5 Show a Different Spread?
There are two reasons. First, spreads change through the trading day. Second, the figure on this page may measure something different from the figure in MT5.
When spreads widen
- Thin liquidity
Spreads widen when fewer buy and sell prices are available, often outside the main trading sessions. - Market open and close
Spreads widen for a short time when a market opens or closes, and around the daily rollover. - News and economic data
Spreads can widen around scheduled releases and unexpected announcements.
Because spreads widen when a market opens or closes, it helps to know when each Exness market does. The table below shows the trading hours of each group of Exness markets in your own time zone.
Our forex market hours page shows the hours of each symbol, next to the hours at other brokers.
Four numbers, four meanings
You may be comparing figures that measure different things.
- “From” on the account page
This is the lowest spread that Exness publishes for the account. - Exness’s market pages
This is the average spread of the previous trading day. Exness shows it on the Exness commodities page (opens in a new tab), for example. - Our 24-hour average
This is the average of our samples over the last 24 hours. Use it to compare the accounts on the same basis. - Latest sample
This is the spread we recorded in our most recent sample.
The unit can differ as well. MT5 shows the spread in points. On currency pairs, 1 pip is 10 points, so 0.9 pips shows as 9. On gold, 1 pip in this tool shows as 100 points in MT5.
Use an average to see the general level, and check the current spread in MT5 when you place the order.

What Does the Total Cost Cover?
Total cost in the tool is the spread plus the round-turn commission for the lot size you set. If you double the lot size, the total cost doubles too, and the spread in pips stays the same. The swap and the rebate come separately.
- Covered in this toolSpread, and round-turn commission
- Handled separatelyOvernight swap, slippage, payment fees, and trading rebates
Where to check the swap and other fees
Holding a position past the daily rollover adds a swap, and Exness can also charge an administration fee on overnight positions for accounts it has notified. The Exness swap calculator shows the swap for your trade, and the swap article explains both the swap and the fee.
Exness charges no fee of its own for deposits, withdrawals or an inactive trading account. Our guide to Exness fees and charges lists every Exness fee on one page, from the spread to withdrawals.
How Do You Get a Rebate on Your Exness Trades?
ForexFanClub pays a rebate on qualifying trades at Exness, credited separately from the spread. The totals in the tool show your cost before the rebate.
Our forex rebate comparison ranks trading accounts across brokers by what a trade costs once the rebate is back.
To receive the rebate, register with Exness through the button below. Exness then records ForexFanClub as the partner of your trading accounts.
If you already have an Exness Personal Area with another partner, ask Exness to change your partner to ForexFanClub. After Exness approves the change, add a new trading account. The Exness rebate guide shows each step.
Exness Spread FAQ
- Is the Zero account always 0 pips?
-
No. Exness offers a zero spread on its top 30 instruments, and the spread can rise above 0 when the market moves fast.
On gold, for example, our 24-hour average on Zero is 0.41 pips. Exness: Zero account conditions (opens in a new tab)
- What is the Exness spread on gold?
-
On a Standard account, our 24-hour average spread on gold is 2.45 pips. Exness’s own pages show the same spread as 24.5 pips, because Exness counts $0.01 of gold as a pip.
The Raw Spread and Zero accounts have tighter spreads and add a commission. The tool at the top of this page shows the figure for every account.
- How much is the Raw Spread commission?
-
The Raw Spread account charges up to $3.50 per lot on each side, and the rate depends on the instrument. On 1 lot of gold, you pay $7 for opening and closing together.
The tool shows the Round-turn commission for the lot size you set. Exness: Raw Spread account conditions (opens in a new tab)
- Why does my MT5 show a different spread?
-
The figure in the tool is a 24-hour average, and MT5 shows the spread at this moment. In addition, MT5 counts the spread in points, so 1 pip shows as 10 points, or 100 points on gold.
To compare, open the row in the tool and check the Lowest and Highest figures.
- How does Total cost relate to my trading account statement?
-
Total cost estimates the spread and the commission for your lot size, so you can compare accounts before you trade.
Your trading account statement records the actual cost, including your fill price, the swap and any slippage.
The Rest of the Exness Numbers
The spread is one side of what a trade costs. Exness’s rebate, swap and margin pages cover the other costs, and two pages compare Exness with other brokers.
You have now seen what each account costs per trade. Forex FanClub’s rebate service returns part of those trading costs on eligible Exness trades, and the totals in the tool above are the cost before any rebate is applied. Members can also earn USDT rewards through logins and social media quests. To use these services, register as a Forex FanClub member using the button below.
