IG, OANDA and FOREX.com are not ranked: on Google, "ig" mostly means Instagram, and most visits to OANDA and FOREX.com come from their currency converter and price pages, not from traders who look for a broker.

Which Broker Is Most Popular in Your Country?
In the 10 countries of Asia and Africa in the tool, the most searched forex broker on Google in October 2026 is Exness in most of them, Deriv in Kenya and HFM in Malaysia.
The ranking covers only these 10 countries, so brokers that are strong in Japan, Australia or Europe have few searches here. XM, for example, runs as XMTrading in Japan, and searches from Japan are not counted.
What changes between countries is how far ahead the first broker is. In Bangladesh, Exness alone has 82.8% of the searches for the 50 brokers we track. In Malaysia, HFM is first with only 19.3%, and it takes the top 12 brokers to reach 80% of the searches.
So in Bangladesh, India or Pakistan, the first broker in the tool is the one that most people around you look up. In Malaysia or South Africa, traders look at many brokers, and first place is a small lead.
Which Broker Is Most Popular in India?
In India, Exness is the most searched forex broker on Google, with about 315,000 searches a month in October 2026, more than four times the 72,000 searches for XM.
Exness and XM together have 82% of the searches for the 50 brokers we track, so in India the ranking is mostly about two names.
If you live in India, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has its own rules on forex trading with overseas platforms. Read the RBI FAQ on forex trading (opens in a new tab) before you open a trading account with any broker in the tool.
Which Broker Leads in Other Countries?
Outside India, the lead of the first broker over the second is very large in Pakistan and very small in Nigeria and the Philippines.
- Pakistan
Exness has 63.3% of the searches, more than nine times the searches for Doo Prime in second place. - South Africa
Exness (40,000 searches a month), Deriv (33,000) and XM (21,000) are close, and the top 8 brokers together make up 80% of the searches. - Nigeria
Exness (31,000) and Deriv (27,000) are almost level. XM is third with 5,200 searches a month, less than a fifth of the searches for Deriv. - Kenya
Deriv has 26,000 searches a month, more than twice the 12,000 for Exness in second place. - Malaysia
HFM (25,000) and XM (14,000) lead, and Ultima Markets, RoboForex and Valetax each have about 10,000 searches a month. - Indonesia
Three brokers have more than 80,000 searches a month each: Exness (146,000), HFM (92,000) and Valetax (81,000). - The Philippines
Exness (11,000) and FBS (10,000) are only 1,000 searches a month apart. - Thailand
Exness and XM together have 71% of the searches.
So if two brokers are almost level in your country, both are names that many traders around you already know. First place then tells you little about which one to choose.
Is the Most Popular Broker Best for You?
A broker’s place in the ranking shows how many people look for it, not what your trades will cost there or whether it is allowed in your country.
Some of those searches come from people who already trade at the broker, because clients search for the broker’s name to find the login page. So a broker with many clients also gets many searches from them.
Before you choose, compare the brokers on three points:
- Cost
The spread and the commission on the symbols you trade, and the rebate you get back. - Deposits and withdrawals
The payment methods the broker offers in your country, and how long a withdrawal takes. - Rules in your country
Whether your country’s regulator allows residents to trade with the broker.
In our view, the ranking is a good place to start a shortlist, because a broker that many people in your country search for is one that many traders there already know.
Between the brokers on that shortlist, however, the cost of your trades is what decides, and that cost includes the rebate you get back. You can compare it before you open a trading account.
Our rebate comparison ranks every trading account we cover by what the same trade costs once the rebate is back.
How Is the Ranking Made?
ForexFanClub’s ranking counts the Google searches for the names of 50 forex brokers in one month in each of 10 countries, from the estimates of the Ahrefs Keywords Explorer.
How the ranking is made
- Countries
- India, Pakistan, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Bangladesh, where many of our readers live and where people search for the best forex broker in their country.
- Brokers
- 50 forex brokers whose names people in these countries search for.
- Search terms
- The broker’s name. Where a name also means something else, the form that means the broker, such as “octafx” or “ic markets”. The searches for “xm” also include a few for the BMW XM car.
- Share
- The broker’s searches divided by the searches for all 50 brokers in that country.
- Updates
- Once a month, with the newest Ahrefs estimate of monthly searches.
- Data
- latest.json gives the ranking of every country, searches_2026-10.jsonl the monthly searches, and brokers.json the search term of each broker.
We count searches for a broker’s name, not visits to its website. A broker’s website also gets many visits from people who only read its news and market pages.
In Thailand, for example, many Google visitors to XTB’s website arrive from searches for “news” and “Netflix”. So the searches for a broker’s name are closer to the number of people who look for the broker.
Questions People Ask About the Ranking
- How often is the ranking updated?
-
The ranking is updated once a month, with the newest Ahrefs estimate of Google searches.
The tool shows the month of the searches under its title. From the second month, each broker also shows how many places it moved up or down.
- Does the ranking show how many clients a broker has?
-
No, the ranking counts Google searches for a broker’s name, which shows interest in the broker rather than its number of clients.
Most brokers do not publish how many clients they have in each country. So searches are the closest figure that we can compare across 50 brokers in the same way.
