Where the figures come from

We read each instrument’s swap rate, unit and contract size from XS MT5 accounts, separately for Standard, Extra, Pro and Elite. A sample is saved every 30 minutes.

How the amounts are worked out

Each sample is converted to US dollars with prices from the same collection. The samples from the past 24 hours that could be converted are averaged, and that average is scaled to the lot size you select. Rate details shows how many samples were used for buy and for sell.

The result is one rollover at the normal rate. The triple swap day shows three times that amount. The 30-day estimate scales the weekly swap schedule to 30 days and holds the rate and the conversion steady, so your own dates, holidays and swap-free days change the real figure.

Labels and times

Unconfirmed

What the tool covers

The tool covers swaps, before any swap-free days. Spreads and commission are compared on the XS spread and commission page, and rebates are credited separately on your trading.

XS’s published pages on swap rates, the swap-free programme and trading hours checked on 15 September 2026.

Reading the figures

Buy and sell are priced separately on the same instrument, so the tool shows both.

Minus is a cost, plus is paid to you

A negative figure is taken from the account at rollover, and a positive figure is added to it. Use the side you plan to hold. A positive swap adds while the position is open, and the result of the trade still comes from the price.

Every amount is shown before the swap-free benefit

Without swap-free is the normal rate for the account you selected. A label such as Swap-free up to 10 days* gives that instrument’s grace period.

Open the row, and With swap-free* shows what to check with XS: whether your account qualifies. The conditions and XS’s links sit at the foot of the tool.

Unconfirmed marks an amount the tool could not work out

$0.00 is a calculated zero. Open Rate details to see the rate and the samples behind either figure.

Swap-free days by instrument

XS gives eligible accounts in selected non-Muslim countries a swap-free grace period, separate from its Islamic account arrangement. Each instrument has its own length, and normal swap rates resume once it ends.

Normal swaps apply from the first day.

Grace days run by calendar day, from the day you open

The count starts on the day you open the position, when you open it before the 23:59 rollover. Each day counts, Saturday included, and normal swaps start at the first rollover after the last grace day.

XS shows this with a 2-day position on USDJPY, opened before 23:59:

Opened onNormal swap from
MondayWednesday (3×)
TuesdayThursday
ThursdayMonday
FridayMonday

A position opened on Friday spends its second grace day on Saturday, so it crosses one free rollover where a Thursday position crosses two.

Normal swaps then run at the rate in force at that time. The figure under Without swap-free is the current 24-hour estimate, which gives you the scale of that charge.

Confirming the benefit for your account

The programme runs on every XS account type, on MT4 and MT5. Eligibility follows from your country and your registration: XS’s swap-free page carries the current conditions, and your XS account manager can confirm whether your country qualifies.

XS applies its normal spreads and commission during the grace period, with no administration fee in place of the swap.

Rollover at 23:59, and triple swap days

XS applies the swap at 23:59 server time, to the positions open at that point. A position opened at any hour of the day is judged at that same moment. Whether the amount is taken from the account or credited to it follows the side you hold and the conditions that apply to it.

Server time is GMT+2, and GMT+3 while US daylight saving time is in effect, which places the cut-off at 21:59 and 20:59 UTC. Times inside the tool are UTC, so compare them directly with those figures.

The usual triple swap days

Instrument categoryUsual triple swap day
Forex and metalsWednesday
Indices, energies, cryptocurrencies and sharesFriday

XS publishes these as the general pattern, and each instrument’s panel shows its own. Cryptocurrency instruments trade around the clock, and their swap days follow this schedule.

One rollover, the triple day and 30 days

Open a row and the normal amounts appear in three steps, all from the same rates:

  • Estimated swap for one rollover
Buy and sell for one night at the lot size you selected.
  • Without swap-free · Wednesday
The triple swap day, at three times that amount. The day follows the instrument.
  • Without swap-free · 30-day estimate
The weekly schedule scaled to 30 days, for the scale of a longer hold.

Rates move from week to week, so use the 30-day figure to compare instruments and accounts at today’s levels. Your account statement gives the amounts that were charged.

Triple swap days during a grace period

Once normal swaps are running, the usual triple day applies by category. During a grace period, some instruments are still charged on their triple day. Their rows carry a label such as 3× swap on Friday still applies, matching the notes in the cards above.

Other costs, and rebates

Swap sits alongside the spread and any commission for your account type. The XS spread and commission comparison covers those.

How rebates work alongside the swap

A rebate returns part of the trading cost on qualifying trades. It is paid on your trading activity and credited separately, so the figures above are your cost before any rebate.

Futures and individual shares sit outside the programme. The XS rebate guide lists the conditions and the steps.

Opening an account for the rebate service

The rebate service runs on accounts opened through Forex FanClub, so a new account is the route in. The guide above covers the steps. Use the button below to open one.

Frequently asked questions about XS swaps

Why do the buy and sell amounts differ?

Each side of an instrument is priced separately, so one side can cost you while the other pays you. Use the side you plan to hold.

The instrument shows a swap-free label, so what is the amount beside it?

It is the normal rate, shown under Without swap-free. The label gives that instrument’s grace period, and XS confirms the benefit for your account.

What does Unconfirmed mean?

The tool could not work out a US dollar amount for that side of the instrument. Rate details shows the data it holds.

What does a month of holding cost?

Open the row and read Without swap-free · 30-day estimate. It gives the normal charge at today’s rates, before any swap-free days, and your account statement gives the amounts that were charged.

Rebates and member features

You have seen what a position costs to hold overnight, before any rebate. Forex FanClub’s rebate service returns part of the trading cost on eligible XS trades.
