Where the figures come from, and how we work them out:
Data sources and how the figures are worked out
Where the figures come from
We read symbol information from four live XS.com MT5 accounts in US dollars, one per account type. MT5 lists the server company for those accounts as XS Fintech Ltd, the XS Group’s technology arm.
The figures are estimates from those platform prices, and your trading account statement shows what each trade actually cost.
We save samples at regular intervals and convert each spread to US dollars with the value of one price step on that instrument. The 24-hour average, lowest and highest spreads and the spread cost use the samples with a confirmed conversion.
The round-turn commission comes from each instrument’s commission settings in MT5, for the account you select, at the latest confirmed rate. The total adds it to the spread cost for your lot size.
Spreads are shown in points (pts) for indices, crypto and stocks, and in pips for currency pairs, metals and energies, with costs in USD. Stocks can load after the rest of the table has appeared.
For gold (XAUUSD), 1 pip is $0.10 per troy ounce, on 100 ounces per lot, as in our spread tools for other brokers, so you can compare brokers directly. XS.com’s MT5 prices gold in $0.01 steps, so 1 pip equals 10 steps.
Labels you may see
- Average, Lowest and Highest
- The 24-hour average, lowest and highest spreads for that instrument on that account.
- Latest sample
- The most recent sample we saved. It can sit outside the Lowest–Highest range.
- Unconfirmed
- Unconfirmed stands in for an amount until its price samples, commission rate and currency conversion are confirmed, and $0.00 is a calculated zero cost. Open the row to see which part is pending.
- A zero
- A confirmed spread of zero counts as a sample of 0.
Outside an instrument’s regular trading hours, the row reads Market closed · showing figures from before the close, with an Earlier average spread. Earlier figures also appear when a recent price is missing during trading hours.
All times are UTC. Data received, at the top of the tool, shows when the latest data arrived. In an open row, How these figures are measured gives Samples used, the period behind the average, and Latest price.
What the figures cover
The tool covers the spread and the round-turn commission for your lot size. The XS.com swap calculator shows the swap on a position held overnight, and rebates are credited separately on your trading.
The 1-lot gold table under the first heading uses the same 24-hour averages, saved from our forex rebate comparison at 08:05 UTC on 9 October 2026. The rebate in that table is what ForexFanClub pays per lot.
Official XS.com sources on account conditions and contract specifications checked on 9 October 2026 (UTC). This date is separate from the tool’s data update times.

Which XS.com Account Has the Lowest Spread?
The Elite account has the tightest spread at XS.com, but a gold trade does not cost less there. Elite adds a commission of $6 per lot, so a 1-lot gold trade comes to about $15 on both Elite and Pro. The narrow spread and the commission cancel each other out.
Once you count the rebate, the Standard account costs the least for gold trades. Standard has a wider spread than Pro or Elite, but its rebate is about three times larger. So 1 lot of gold costs you about $11 on Standard after the rebate.
1 lot of gold, 24-hour average
| Before the rebate | After the rebate | |
|---|---|---|
| XS.com Standard account | $18.89 | $10.58 |
| XS.com Elite account | $14.79 | $11.99 |
| XS.com Pro account | $14.80 | $12.00 |
| XS.com Extra account | $35.96 | $20.14 |
The cost before the rebate is the spread plus the commission. The rebate is what ForexFanClub pays you per lot.
The Extra account pays the largest rebate, because XS.com built Extra for higher partner rebates. However, Extra also has the widest spread of the four, so a gold trade still costs the most on Extra after the rebate.
If you trade gold and receive the ForexFanClub rebate, the Standard account costs the least at XS.com. On 1 lot of gold, you pay about $1.40 less than on Pro or Elite after the rebate.
Standard also has no minimum deposit, and Pro and Elite ask for USD 500. However, Standard is the cheaper choice only with the rebate. Without it, Standard costs about $4 more than Pro on 1 lot of gold.
On currency pairs, the cheapest account is different. On EURUSD, Pro and Elite cost less than Standard even after the rebate. So if you mostly trade currency pairs, compare the three accounts in the tool.
The XS.com rebate guide shows the rebate for each account and the XS.com rules for which trades count.
Switch between the accounts at the top of the tool to compare the cost on the instrument you trade.

Account conditions published by XS.com: Standard (opens in a new tab), Extra (opens in a new tab), Pro and Elite (opens in a new tab).
All four accounts run on MT4 and MT5, use a standard contract size of 100,000, and are offered in US dollars, euros or Japanese yen.
The published figures are averages from the previous trading day, and XS.com prices every account with a floating spread. XS.com: contract specifications (opens in a new tab)
Our own 24-hour average on EURUSD is a little wider on every account. On the Standard account, for example, our data shows 1.29 pips against the 1.1 pips that XS.com publishes.
So use the published figure to compare the accounts at a glance, and use the tool for the instrument you trade.
Who can open an Extra account?
XS.com offers the Extra account through its partners, such as ForexFanClub. So you can choose Extra when you create your XS.com profile through ForexFanClub. Compare its total cost in the tool with the other three accounts first.
What Commission Does XS.com Charge?
Only the Elite account has a commission at XS.com. XS.com charges $6 per lot for opening and closing together, and it takes the full amount when the position opens. So a new Elite position already shows the $6 cost before you close it.
The Standard, Extra and Pro accounts have no commission, because the cost is inside the spread. In the tool, each row on those accounts shows a Round-turn commission of $0.00, so Total cost is the spread cost.
On EURUSD, Elite’s spread costs only $1.98 per lot, and the commission is about three times that amount. So a 1-lot EURUSD trade costs about $7.98 on Elite and $7.88 on Pro before the rebate, and the narrow spread brings no saving.
On Elite, most instruments in the tool show $6 per lot, and the main stock market indices and some crypto show a lower amount. Each row gives the Round-turn commission for the instrument and lot size you select.
Why Does Your Trading Platform Show a Different Spread?
There are two reasons. First, spreads change through the trading day. Second, the figure on this page may measure something different from the figure in your platform.
When spreads widen
- Thin liquidity
Spreads widen when fewer buy and sell prices are available, often outside the main trading sessions. - Daily rollover
Spreads widen for a short time around the daily changeover. - News and economic data
Spreads can widen around scheduled releases and unexpected announcements.
Because spreads widen outside the main trading sessions, it helps to know when each XS.com market opens and closes. The table below shows the trading hours of each group of XS.com markets in your own time zone.
Our forex market hours page shows the hours of each symbol, next to the hours at other brokers.
Three numbers, three meanings
You may be comparing figures that measure different things.
- XS.com’s account page
This is the average EURUSD spread that XS.com publishes for each account. - XS.com’s contract specifications
This is the average spread of the previous trading day, for each instrument. - Our 24-hour average
This is the average of our samples over the last 24 hours. Use it to compare accounts on the same basis.
The unit can differ as well. MT5 shows spreads in points, and 1 pip in this tool is 10 points on currency pairs and gold. Use an average to see the general level, and check the spread in your own platform when you place the order.

NapWela is a free MT4/MT5 indicator from Forex FanClub. It shows the current spread on your chart, alongside a countdown to the close of the candle.
What Does the Total Cost Cover?
Total cost in the tool is the spread plus the round-turn commission for the lot size you set. The swap and the rebate come separately.
- Covered in this toolSpread, and round-turn commission
- Handled separatelyOvernight swap, slippage, payment fees, and trading rebates
Where to check the swap and other fees
Holding a position past the daily rollover adds a swap. The XS.com swap calculator shows the swap for your trade.
How Do You Get a Rebate on Your XS.com Trades?
ForexFanClub pays a rebate on qualifying trades at XS.com, credited separately from the spread. The totals in the tool show your cost before the rebate.
Our forex rebate comparison ranks trading accounts across brokers by what a trade costs once the rebate is back.
To receive the rebate, create your XS.com profile through the button below. XS.com then records ForexFanClub as the partner of your trading accounts.
If you already have an XS.com profile with another partner, register again through the button with a different email address. If your profile is already with ForexFanClub, open one more trading account inside it. The XS.com rebate guide shows each step.
XS.com Spread FAQ
- Are XS.com spreads fixed?

To compare the accounts, use Total cost in the tool.
- What is the XS.com spread on gold?
-
On gold, our 24-hour average spread is 0.88 pips on an Elite account, plus a $6 commission per lot, and 1.89 pips on a Standard account.

- Does the Elite account charge the same commission on every instrument?
-
Most instruments on Elite carry a commission of $6 per lot, for opening and closing together. In the tool, the main stock market indices and some crypto show a lower amount.
Each row in the tool shows the Round-turn commission for that instrument.
- Why does my platform show a different spread?
-
The figure in the tool is a 24-hour average, and your platform shows the spread at this moment. In addition, MT5 counts the spread in points, so 1 pip shows as 10 points.
To compare, open the row in the tool and check the Lowest and Highest figures.
- How does Total cost relate to my trading account statement?
-
Total cost estimates the spread and the commission for your lot size, so you can compare accounts before you trade.
Your trading account statement records the actual cost, including your fill price, the swap and any slippage.
- Which XS.com account offers the instruments I trade?
-
The instruments differ by account. For example, share CFDs are available on the Standard and Pro accounts, and not on Elite or Extra.
Switch accounts at the top of the tool to see the instruments and costs on each one.
The Rest of the XS.com Numbers
The spread is one side of what a trade costs. XS.com’s rebate, swap and margin pages cover the other costs, and two pages compare XS.com with other brokers.
You have now seen how the four accounts are priced. FFC Auto Rebate returns part of those trading costs on eligible XS.com trades, and the totals in the tool above are the cost before any rebate is applied. The member area also carries daily login rewards and USDT quests, with the terms for each set out there. To use these services, register as a Forex FanClub member using the button below.
