Data sources and calculation methodology
Where the figures come from
We read prices from our own MT5 accounts at each broker, one for every account type in the ranking, and save a sample every 30 minutes. At XM, HFM and XS.com these are live accounts. At Exness they are demo accounts, which Exness states trade on the same conditions as live ones. Exness’s demo trading account page (opens in a new tab)
The figures are estimates worked out from those platform prices. Your account statement shows what each trade actually cost.
How the ranking is worked out
- Net Cost
- The 24-hour average spread in US dollars, plus the commission for both sides, minus the rebate ForexFanClub pays back on that account and instrument. The cheapest account comes first.
- Spread
- The 24-hour average spread in pips or points, ranked by its cost in US dollars with the commission added, before the rebate.
- Same trade size
- Every account is priced for the same trade: 100,000 units on a currency pair, 100 oz of gold, 5,000 oz of silver, 100 barrels of oil, $1 a point on the US indices, €1 a point on Germany 40, and 1 coin on Bitcoin and Ethereum. Where a broker’s lot is a different size, the row shows the lots that trade takes, such as = 5 lots.
- Rebate
- The amount each broker’s rebate page lists for that account and instrument. Where the rebate is a share of the spread, it is worked out on the same 24-hour average spread the row shows.
- Unconfirmed
- An account whose spread, commission or rebate is still being confirmed shows Unconfirmed and sits at the bottom of the list.
The ranking is recalculated every 15 minutes. Updated, at the top of the tool, shows the time of the latest data, in UTC.
What the figures cover
The figures cover the spread, the commission and the rebate on one trade. Each broker’s swap page has the overnight cost, and our swap-free forex brokers page compares the swap-free terms.
Rebate rates checked against each broker’s rebate page on 24 September 2026 (UTC). This date is separate from the tool’s data update times.

What Is a Forex Rebate?
A forex rebate, often called forex cashback, pays back part of the cost of every trade you close. The spread, the commission and the way the broker fills your orders are the same with or without it, so without a rebate you pay more for exactly the same trade.
- You trade on an account opened through ForexFanClub.
- The broker pays us a commission on every trade you close.
- We pass 90% of that commission back to you, or 80% at XS.com.
The table below shows the cost of one EURUSD lot on each broker’s standard account type, on 6 October 2026.
| Trading account | Without a rebate | With a rebate |
|---|---|---|
| XM Standard account | $20.15 | $12.05 |
| HFM Premium account | $19.74 | $11.64 |
| XS Standard account | $12.92 | $7.23 |
| Exness Standard account | $8.98 | $5.75 |
For example, if you trade 10 lots of EURUSD a month on the XM Standard account, the rebate pays you $81 a month. Our forex rebate calculator works out the figure for your own trading.
How Much Does Each Broker Pay Back, and When?

On gold, the HFM rebate is higher during a current HFM campaign, and HFM has not announced an end date, so the rebate can go back down.
How Do You Get a Forex Rebate?
If You Are New to the Broker
If you have not chosen a broker yet, our ranking of the most popular forex brokers shows which brokers people in your country search for most on Google. Then compare their Net Cost in the forex rebates ranking.
- Open that broker’s rebate page and use its sign-up button.
- Open the account and make your first deposit.
- Trade as usual. The rebate starts with your first closed trade.
If You Already Trade With the Broker
If you joined the broker through ForexFanClub, your trading accounts there already earn the rebate. If your trading accounts have another partner, or none, the steps depend on the broker.
- XM
In your XM Members Area, open one more trading account with partner code GJQYM. Our XM partner code guide has the steps. - HFM
In your HFM Client Area, open one more trading account with Campaign ID 314605. The trading accounts you already hold keep their current partner. - XS.com
XS keeps each profile with the partner it was opened under, so open a new XS profile with an email that is different from your current XS login. Start the new profile from our XS sign-up link (opens in a new tab). - Exness
In the Exness chat, ask Exness to change the partner on your Personal Area. Then open one more trading account there. Our partner change guide has the steps.
Each broker’s rebate page explains how to move money across from the trading account you already hold.
Which Trades Earn a Rebate?
Almost every closed trade earns a rebate. Each broker sets a few rules for the rest, mostly on how long a trade stays open and on bonus money.
- XM
Your first deposit starts the rebate, and each position must stay open for longer than three minutes. Bonus credit used as margin lowers the rebate. A buy and a sell on the same instrument closed together with Close by earn nothing, so close them one at a time. - HFM
Each position must stay open for two minutes or longer. Bonus credit used as margin lowers the rebate. With a buy and a sell on the same instrument, only the larger position earns it. - XS.com
Each position must stay open for at least 30 seconds, or one minute on an Extra account. Individual shares, futures, Welcome Bonus accounts and trades that use bonus money earn no rebate. - Exness
Exness sets no minimum time, so a scalp earns the rebate too. Copy Trading accounts and Copy Trading Investments earn none.
These are the brokers’ own rules, and ForexFanClub adds none of its own. Every trading instrument in the ranking earns a rebate at every broker we cover.
If you plan to trade with a deposit bonus, our comparison of forex deposit bonuses shows which broker’s bonus to choose and how the bonus changes your rebate.
Trades on a demo account earn no rebate, because a rebate pays back part of a real trading cost. Our guide to forex demo accounts shows when to move from a demo to a real trading account.
Do You Need to Register With ForexFanClub?
No. Each broker pays the rebate whether or not you register with ForexFanClub. What the member area adds is one history of every payment from every broker you use.
- Register at the ForexFanClub member area (opens in a new tab) with your email.
- Open Dashboard, choose the broker and enter the account number you opened through our link.
- Your payments then appear day by day, broker by broker.
The member area accepts trading accounts opened through a ForexFanClub link, so add yours soon after you open it.
Forex Rebate FAQ
- Can I withdraw the rebate as cash?
-
Yes, through each broker’s normal withdrawal process. At XM, move the rebate from MyWallet to a trading account first, then withdraw it from that trading account.
- Which broker pays the most back?
-
At every broker we cover, the account with the biggest rebate has the highest trading cost after the rebate. So compare accounts on Net Cost in the ranking, not on the size of the rebate.
To compare spreads before the rebate, see our lowest spread forex brokers page.
Zero spread accounts charge a commission instead of most of the spread. To see whether one costs less after the rebate, see our zero spread forex brokers page.
Brokers also differ in how far a losing trade can go before they close it. Our comparison of margin calls and stop out levels across brokers shows how much you can lose before a stop out.
Which Rebate Page Do You Need Next?
Open the page for your broker. Each one has the full rebate table and the steps for that broker.
Once your rebate account is open, link it to Forex FanClub. The member area lists every rebate payment day by day, across every broker you use. Registration is free and takes an email address.
