Your HFM Client Area (myHF) opens with your email address and myHF password. You log in to each MT5 trading account with its own trading account ID, password and server.

Most HFM login problems come from a right password in the wrong place. This guide shows which details open what, where to find them in the Client Area and how to get back in.
Your HFM Client Area opens from the HFM website, and if you are new to HFM, you can register there.

Which HFM Login Do You Need?
At HFM, your email address and myHF password open the Client Area, and you log in to each MT5 trading account with its own trading account ID, password and server.
The Client Area, which HFM also calls myHF, is where you manage your money, and MT5 is where you trade. The third login, the Partners Area, is only for partners who refer traders to HFM.
Client Area (myHF) For traders
- Use it for
- Deposits, withdrawals, documents and opening trading accounts
- What you type
- Your email address or phone number and your myHF password
MT5 trading account For traders
- Use it for
- Trading on that one trading account, in MT5 or HFM WebTrader
- What you type
- The trading account ID, the password of that trading account and its server
Partners Area Partners only
- Use it for
- Checking referred clients and partner commission
- Who uses it
- Only partners who refer traders to HFM
Each trading account gets the password that you chose on the form that opened that trading account. So your myHF password opens MT5 only if you chose the same password for that trading account.
The server is the detail that most people miss, because the server is not one setting for your whole HFM login.
For example, in our own myHF, the Pro trading account is on HFMarketsGlobal-Live8, and the Premium trading account is on HFMarketsGlobal-Live16. So you copy the server name for each trading account.

The HFM App on your phone is the exception. The app uses the same email address and myHF password as the Client Area in a web browser.
How Do You Log In to the HFM Client Area (myHF)?
You log in to the HFM Client Area with the email address or phone number that you registered with, and then your myHF password. The sign-in page shows only the email or phone number field at the start, and the password field comes after you tap Continue.

- Open the HFM sign-in page (opens in a new tab).
- Type the email address or phone number that you registered with, and tap Continue.
- On the next screen, type your myHF password and tap Continue.
The sign-in page also has Login with Google and Login with Apple options. You can use these options in place of the password once you link that Google or Apple account in your myHF, under My Profile and then Security Settings.
Two-factor authentication is optional at HFM. If you want a code on every web login, turn two-factor authentication on in the same Security Settings, under Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). Then keep the device with the codes, because you need that device for each new login.
Where Do You Find Your HFM MT5 Login and Server?
Your HFM MT5 login and server are in the Client Area, in the Account Details of each trading account. The Trading account ID is your MT5 login, and the server name has a copy button next to the name.
In the Client Area on your phone, open Home. Under My Trading Accounts, tap the arrow on the row of the trading account, then tap the gear icon.

Choose Account Details. On a computer, the same gear icon is on each row of My Wallet.

Note the Trading account ID and copy the Server. These two, with the password of the trading account, are your MT5 login.

Copy the server name exactly as it appears. Real HFM trading accounts are on servers with names like HFMarketsGlobal-Live16, with a different number for different trading accounts. A demo trading account is on HFMarketsGlobal-Demo.
- In MT5 on a computer, choose Login to Trade Account in the File menu.
- Enter the trading account ID as the login, the password of that trading account, and the server from Account Details.
- If the server is not in the list, type its name into the server box and log in again.
- If MT5 still does not connect, click the signal bars at the bottom right of MT5, choose Network Rescan, and log in again.
In the MT5 app on a phone, you choose the HFM company before the server. Search for HFM, and choose the company whose grey text matches the start of your server name.
For example, a server such as HFMarketsGlobal-Live16 belongs to HF Markets (SV) Ltd., because the grey text under that company name is HFMarketsGlobal.

The list also shows other HFM companies, such as HF Markets (Europe) Ltd. Your trading account is not on the servers of those companies, so pick the company by the server name, not by the name that looks closest to your country.
You can also trade without the MT5 app installed. HFM WebTrader (opens in a new tab) opens MT5 in your web browser and asks for the same three details: the login, the password and the server.
Why Does HFM MT5 Say Invalid Account?
MT5 says “Invalid account” when the trading account ID, the password or the server does not match that HFM trading account. The cause is usually one of four mix-ups.
- Wrong password
You typed the myHF password, but this trading account has the password that you chose when you opened it. - Wrong ID
You typed the ID of another trading account, for example your demo trading account. - Wrong server
You chose the server of another trading account. Or you chose another HFM company in the MT5 app. Our Pro and Premium trading accounts, for example, are on two different servers. - Wrong platform
You tried to log in to an MT4 trading account from MT5. The Platform line in Account Details shows which one it is.
If you forgot the trading password, set a new trading password in the Client Area. The Change Password window of a trading account does not ask for the old password, so a new password is the fastest fix. The Forgot Password link in WebTrader only leads to the HFM contact page.
Open the gear menu of the trading account in the Client Area and choose Change Password.

Type the new password in New password and tap Continue. The window asks only for the new password.

The new password needs 8 to 15 Latin characters, with upper and lower case letters, at least one number and at least one special character. Then log in to MT5 with the new password straight away, together with the same trading account ID and server.
What If You Cannot Log In to the HFM Client Area?
If the HFM Client Area rejects your password, reset the myHF password with Forgot password? on the password step of the HFM sign-in page (opens in a new tab). First check the email or phone number field, because that field takes your email address or phone number, not a trading account ID.
On the Enter your password screen, tap Forgot password? above the password field.

Type the email address or phone number that you registered with, and tap Reset Password.

Then follow the steps that HFM gives you to set a new myHF password.
The myHF password and the trading passwords are separate. So a new myHF password changes nothing in MT5, and a new trading password changes nothing in the Client Area.
If you still know your myHF password and only want a new myHF password, change the password in the Client Area. Open My Profile, then Security Settings, and choose Change next to Wallet Password. The Wallet Password page asks for your old password first, unlike the trading password.
If none of these steps work, HFM support can help 24 hours a day by live chat, or by email at support@hfm.com. Write from the email address that you registered with, so that support can find your myHF.
Is the HFM Partner Login the Same as the Client Area?
No, the HFM Partners Area is for partners who refer traders, and a trader never needs the Partners Area. Your trading accounts and your money are all in the Traders Area of your own myHF.
If you came here for a partner login because you want a different partner for your trading, you do it with a new trading account. Each trading account keeps the partner that it had when you opened it.
The HFM rebate guide shows how existing HFM users add a trading account with ForexFanClub as their partner.
The partner matters to you because HFM pays your partner a part of the cost of every lot that you trade. With ForexFanClub as your partner, most of that part comes back to you as our rebate.
HFM Login FAQ
- Is the HFM trading account ID the same as the MT5 login?
-
Yes, the Trading account ID in the HFM Client Area is the number that MT5 calls Login. You find the Trading account ID on the My Trading Accounts list and in Account Details.
- How many trading accounts can one HFM login hold?
-
HFM does not publish a limit for one myHF. Our own myHF holds four MT5 trading accounts, and each trading account has its own ID, password and server.
- Can you move an HFM trading account to another server?
-
The Client Area has no option to change the server of a trading account. For a different server or account type, you open a new trading account and move your money to the new trading account with Transfer Funds.
The HFM account types guide helps you choose the new trading account.

The public HFM pages
The sign-in page, the HFM WebTrader login with its list of servers, and the Client Area page of the HFM website are the public pages on the same day.
Which Page Do You Need Next?
Once you are logged in, the next step is usually your first deposit or a new trading account. The pages show the minimum deposit, the account types, the withdrawal times and the rebate on each account.
Once the HFM trading account is open, add it to Forex FanClub. The member area lists every rebate payment day by day, across every broker you use. Registration is free and takes an email address.
