Installing BreakLine is a straightforward process. First, download the MT4 or MT5 version using the button below. If you’re on a smartphone, please transfer the downloaded file to your PC via Google Drive or Dropbox.

Next, select “File” >> “Open Data Folder” from the top menu in MT4/MT5. Open the “MQL5” >> “Indicators” folder within the data folder, then move the downloaded “BreakLine.ex4” or “BreakLine.ex5” file into the “Indicators” folder.

Then restart MT4/MT5, or refresh the Navigator. Drag “BreakLine” from the “Indicators” section in the Navigator onto your chart. Configure the parameters in the startup screen and click “OK” to activate BreakLine.

The most important settings are the line display style and the alert timing. For line display style, you can choose between “Horizontal Lines” and “Trend Lines”. For alert timing, you can select either “Touch” or “Candle Close Break”.

One key point to note when using BreakLine: if you wish to use email alerts, please ensure your MT4/MT5 email settings are configured beforehand. For push notifications, you will need to set up the connection with the MetaTrader mobile application.

If alerts are not firing, first check that the alert setting is enabled. If the issue persists, it may be caused by a conflict with another indicator.

To move the BreakLine control panel, click and drag the panel’s title bar. For the MT5 version, the panel can be moved by clicking and dragging from the top-right corner of the panel.

If you’re using a high-resolution display with scaling set to 150% or higher, please set the font size to 6–7 via the font settings in the parameters.

If BreakLine becomes unresponsive for any reason, try removing and re-adding it to the chart. If any text or objects remain on the chart afterwards, right-click on the chart, select “Objects List”, and delete all related objects.
