Exness Review: Is Exness Safe, and Who Is It Good For?

Exness Logo

Exness is a regulated broker with low costs on indices, oil, silver and Bitcoin, but on gold HFM costs less, and Exness gives no bonus. 1 lot of gold costs $12.39 on Exness Raw Spread after our rebate.

Checked on 6 November 2026

This Exness broker review uses our own figures: the costs that we record every day at four brokers, our own withdrawals, and the screens of our own Exness Personal Area. Conditions differ by country, so you can check yours in your own Personal Area.

Is Exness a Good Broker?

Exness is a good broker for traders who want low costs on the US30 and US100 indices, WTI oil, silver and Bitcoin, and fast withdrawals by crypto. On gold, Exness is not the cheapest broker we measure. Exness also gives no bonus.

So the answer depends on what you trade and how you fund your trading account.

  • Indices, oil, silver or Bitcoin
Exness has the lowest cost of the four brokers we measure on these instruments. For example, 1 lot of silver costs you $65.35 on Exness Raw Spread, and $98.60 at the next cheapest broker.
  • Gold
On gold, HFM Unlimited is the cheaper choice, at $7.21 per lot after our rebate, and Exness Raw Spread costs $12.39. Our gold broker comparison adds up the cost at each broker.
  • Fast withdrawals
Exness suits you if you withdraw often, because crypto withdrawals run 24/7 and most requests are automatic. Our two USDT withdrawals took less than a minute and 17 minutes.
  • A deposit bonus
XM is the broker to look at, because Exness has no deposit bonus. The XM vs Exness comparison shows when the bonus saves you more than the lower cost.
  • Copy trading
XM and HFM both run copy trading today. Exness closed its copy trading service in June 2026.
Our view

We would look at Exness first if you mainly trade the US30 and US100 indices, WTI oil, silver or Bitcoin, because Exness came first on these instruments in all three of our recent checks.

For gold we would compare HFM first, because the same lot costs about $5.17 less at HFM.

Is Exness Legit, Safe and Regulated?

Exness is a regulated broker, but the Exness company that holds your trading account depends on your country. So your regulator also depends on your country.

Exness lists licences from the FSA in Seychelles, the FSC in the British Virgin Islands and Mauritius, the CBCS in Curaçao, the FSCA in South Africa, the CMA in Kenya, the JSC in Jordan, the FCA in the UK and CySEC in Cyprus.

The licence that matters to you is the licence of your own Exness company. Our own trading accounts are with Exness (SC) Ltd, under licence SD025 from the Seychelles FSA. So before you deposit, read the company name in your client agreement and at the bottom of your Exness Personal Area.

Your money also has two more protections. The Exness client protection page (opens in a new tab) says that Exness keeps client funds apart from Exness’s own money, and every Exness account has negative balance protection. So if a sudden price move leaves your balance negative after your trades close automatically, Exness resets the balance to zero.

On Trustpilot (opens in a new tab), Exness has 4.7 out of 5 from about 34,000 reviews. The low scores that we read are mostly about withdrawals and account checks, so we show our own withdrawal times further down.

If you need help, Exness has live chat 24/7 in English, and our Exness support guide shows each way to reach the support team.

How Much Does It Cost to Trade at Exness?

On gold, Exness Raw Spread costs $15.09 per lot, or $12.39 after the ForexFanClub rebate. This cost makes Exness third of the four brokers we measure.

The rebate is the part of your trading cost that we pay back to you on every lot, so the cost after the rebate is what a trade really costs you.

The table below shows the cheapest gold account at each broker, with the spread and any commission added together.

1 lot of gold, closed the same day

Spread + commissionAfter our rebate
HFM Unlimited$9.91$7.21
XS Standard$18.79$10.52
Exness Raw Spread$15.09$12.39
XM Ultra Low$31.57$22.57

So if you trade 10 lots of gold a month, Exness costs you about $52 a month more than HFM Unlimited. Exness also saves you about $102 a month compared with XM Ultra Low.

Gold is only one instrument, and the cheapest broker changes from one instrument to the next. We compare 16 instruments every day, and on the day of this check Exness had the lowest cost on 7 of them and HFM on the other 9.

The table below shows the five trading instruments where the Exness lead is largest.

Cost after our rebate

ExnessNext cheapest
Silver (5,000 oz)$65.35XS Elite $98.60
US30 index, $1 a point$0.59HFM Unlimited $1.88
US100 index, $1 a point$0.58HFM Unlimited $1.35
WTI oil, 100 barrels$0.69HFM Unlimited $1.16
Bitcoin, 1 BTC$3.38HFM Unlimited $6.74

The table shows the Exness Raw Spread account, but the Standard account without a commission also came first on all five. You can see today’s ranking in our lowest spread comparison.

Holding a trade overnight usually costs nothing on the main instruments, because every Exness Personal Area starts with a swap-free status on gold, the major currency pairs, stock indices and crypto.

Exness adds no deposit, withdrawal or inactivity fee either, and our Exness fees guide lists every charge.

Can You Withdraw Your Money from Exness?

You can withdraw your money from Exness. Over 98% of Exness withdrawals are automatic, and our two USDT withdrawals reached the blockchain less than a minute and 17 minutes after we sent the request.

Two withdrawals cannot prove what happens to every trader, but these two withdrawals show what an automatic request looks like. An e-wallet withdrawal of ours from HFM took 17 minutes, so this speed is not unique to Exness.

The payment method decides most of your wait. Crypto usually arrives within 15 minutes on our Withdrawal screen, and a bank transfer takes from 24 hours to 5 days.

When a withdrawal takes longer, the reason is usually one of the Exness payment rules, and you can check each rule before you send a request:

  • Verification
Your ID and proof of address must be approved, so upload these documents before you need the money.
  • The name
The bank account, card or wallet must be in the same full name as your Exness Personal Area.
  • A card deposit
Money that you deposited by card goes back to the card first, and your profit then goes out by another method.
  • Open trades
You can withdraw up to your free margin, so money that your open trades use as margin stays in the trading account.

Our Exness withdrawal guide shows the time and the limit for each method, and the steps to your bank account.

What Are the Downsides of Exness?

The main downsides of Exness are that it gives no bonus, the cost of the Standard account, the swap once the swap-free status ends, and the first deposit in some countries. Each downside has a size that you can work out before you open a trading account.

  • No bonus
Exness gives no bonus on your deposits, and a bonus may save you more than a lower cost. With USD 100 split into deposits of USD 10, your balance after 50 gold trades, half of them winners, was $107.26 at XM and $92.96 at Exness, as our XM vs Exness comparison shows.
  • The Standard account
Exness creates a Standard trading account when you register, and it is the most expensive Exness account for gold, at $15.39 per lot after our rebate. So 10 lots a month cost you about $30 more than on Raw Spread.
  • The swap on gold
The swap-free status can end if you often keep large positions overnight. Without it, a 1-lot gold buy pays $53.20 a night, which is $319.20 from Monday to Friday, because Wednesday counts as three nights.
  • The first deposit
The amount depends on your country. The public pages show $10 on Standard and $200 on Raw Spread, and our own Personal Area asks for $150 and $1,000, as the Exness minimum deposit guide explains.

The Exness account types guide puts the five accounts side by side, and the Exness swap guide explains when the swap-free status ends.

How Do You Start at Exness and Get the Rebate?

You open an Exness trading account through our link and enter our partner code on the registration form. Exness pays the rebate the next day into the trading account that you traded on, with no minimum time to hold a trade.

Our rebate is 36% of the spread on Standard, so 1 lot of gold on Standard pays you $8.66. The Exness rebate guide shows the amount on each account.

If you already trade at Exness through another partner, you can ask Exness to change your partner.

To try the platform first, you can use a free Exness demo account on MT4, MT5, the Exness Terminal in your browser or the Exness Trade app.

Exness Review FAQ

Is Exness legal in India?

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) lists Exness on its Alert List (opens in a new tab). The Alert List names companies with no authorisation to deal in forex in India, such as XM, HFM and other overseas brokers.

The RBI says that residents of India who trade forex on platforms without RBI authorisation can face penalties under FEMA, the law on foreign exchange in India.

Trade press also reported in July 2025 that Exness had stopped registering new clients from India. If you live in India, read the RBI FAQ on forex trading (opens in a new tab).

Which countries can’t open an Exness account?

Exness does not accept residents of the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the UK, Russia and Belarus, among others. This list comes from the footer of exness.com.

The registration form shows whether your country is accepted, so check the form before you plan your deposit.

Is Exness good for beginners?

Exness suits beginners who want to start small, because the smallest trade on the Standard Cent account is 1/100 of a normal trade. A free demo account also lets you practise with the same conditions before you use real money.

Remember that leverage makes losses grow as fast as gains. Our lot size calculator works out a lot size from the amount that you are ready to lose.

Is Exness good for scalping?

The Exness Help Centre has no rule against scalping, but Exness is not the cheapest place to scalp gold. You get the rebate on any trade, so a gold scalp on Raw Spread costs $12.39 per lot.

HFM pays no rebate on trades closed within 2 minutes, but HFM Unlimited still costs less, at $9.91 per lot without the rebate.

How much slippage does Exness have?

We cannot measure slippage fairly, because slippage is different on every order. Slippage depends on the moment, the size of the order and how fast the price moves, so a fair test would need a very large number of real-money trades.

The spread, the commission and the swap are the costs that you can compare before you trade, and these three costs are the costs on this page.

Where the facts and the figures come from:

Sources and how the figures are worked out +-

The cost of a trade

The spread, the commission and the rebate are the 24-hour averages in our rebate ranking, updated on 6 November 2026 at 15:06 UTC. The ranking covers 16 instruments at XM, HFM, XS and Exness, and each broker’s figure is its cheapest account after the rebate. We left out the XS Extra account, which has a partner mark-up. Exness also came first on these five instruments in our checks of 20 and 29 October 2026.

The swap

The swap is the 24-hour average that our Exness swap tool recorded on 6 November 2026, for 1 lot held overnight without the swap-free status.

Withdrawals

Our two USDT (BEP20) withdrawals are from the transaction history of our own Exness Personal Area on 25 August and 4 September 2026, with the time on the blockchain. Methods, times and limits are from our own Withdrawal screen, read on 2 November 2026, and your screen can differ by country.

Regulation and reviews

The regulators are listed on the Exness client protection page (opens in a new tab), read on 6 November 2026. The excluded countries come from the footer of exness.com, read on 16 October 2026. The Trustpilot score was read on 6 November 2026. The note on new clients in India comes from Finance Magnates (opens in a new tab) in July 2025, and we have not tested registration from India.
