Installing InteractiveMA is straightforward. First, download the MT4 or MT5 version using the buttons below. If you are on a smartphone, please transfer the downloaded file to your PC via Google Drive or Dropbox.

Next, in MT4/MT5, go to File >> Open Data Folder from the top menu, then navigate to MQL4 >> Indicators (or MQL5 >> Indicators for MT5). Move the downloaded InteractiveMA.ex4 or InteractiveMA.ex5 file into the Indicators folder.

After that, restart MT4/MT5 or refresh the Navigator. Then drag InteractiveMA from the Indicators section of the Navigator onto your chart. Configure the parameters in the initial settings dialogue and click OK. InteractiveMA will begin running immediately.

As InteractiveMA is an indicator rather than an EA, there is no need to enable automated trading permissions. Once installed, the interactive moving average display features are available to use straight away.

A wide range of settings can be customised within the InteractiveMA parameter screen — including display style, moving average type, line colour and thickness, UI panel position, and corner alignment. Every detail can be fine-tuned to match your personal trading preferences.

To open the parameter settings screen, right-click on the chart and select Indicators List >> InteractiveMA >> Properties from the context menu. The following parameter settings screen will appear.

The most important parameters to configure are the moving average type and the maximum period. The moving average type can be selected from SMA, EMA, SMMA, and LWMA. The maximum period can be set anywhere from 3 to 100. The UI panel position can be chosen from four corners: Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, and Bottom Right.

Other configurable settings include line style, colour and thickness, the display range, and font size. For high-resolution display environments, please adjust the font size accordingly.

One important point when using InteractiveMA: the UI control panel can be freely repositioned by dragging — place it wherever it is easiest to see. If the moving average line is not displaying correctly, check the moving average type settings and, if necessary, look for conflicts with other indicators running on the same chart.

When moving the UI control panel in the MT5 version, you must click precisely on the single point at the top-left corner. Please take care.

If you are using 150% display scaling on a high-resolution monitor, please reduce the font size in the parameter settings.

If InteractiveMA becomes unresponsive, please remove it from the chart and re-apply it. If any text labels or objects remain on the chart afterwards, right-click the chart, select Objects List, and delete all related objects.
