XM Traders Club (XMC): Status Tiers, Benefits & How to Earn

XM Traders Club features 5 status tiers (BRONZE, SILVER, GOLD, PLATINUM, ELITE) based on your trading volume. Higher tiers earn XMC at an increased rate. PLATINUM and ELITE members enjoy additional privileges such as a dedicated VIP account manager, premium VPS, and invitations to exclusive events — making this a genuinely rewarding programme for consistent traders.

Within XM Traders Club, you automatically earn XMC (XM Coins) that can be redeemed for bonuses or cash — just by trading. No prior registration is needed; points accumulate automatically as you trade. There is no cap on the XMC you can earn, making this a highly rewarding programme. The more you trade, the more XMC you receive.

The XMC you earn varies according to your status tier across 5 levels. The system is designed so that your tier advances with your trading volume — the more consistently you trade, the higher your return rate. Furthermore, when you reach a higher status such as PLATINUM or ELITE, you not only earn XMC at a greater rate, but also unlock exclusive privileges such as invitations to travel experiences and gala events.

XM Traders Club has 5 status tiers, each offering different XMC earning rates and exclusive benefits. The following are the conditions required to advance to each tier.

The table above uses USDJPY as an example of the lot volume required. However, since GOLD is currently priced above $4,000 USD, trading GOLD means your trading volume accumulates approximately 4 times faster than with USDJPY, allowing you to advance through tiers more quickly.

The application below is an automatic XMC calculator using the latest rates. Since the XMC earned per trade fluctuates with exchange rates, we have developed this convenient tool to help you understand your earnings at a glance. While XMC can also be viewed via the XMC Calculator in the XM Members Area under XM Traders Club, this tool is considerably faster.

XM Traders Club is available for Standard, Standard Micro, Ultra Low, and Ultra Low Micro accounts. It is not available for Shares accounts (designed exclusively for stock trading) or Swap Free accounts (available exclusively for Muslim clients).

After logging in to the XM Members Area, select “XM Traders Club” from the menu to open the dedicated page.

Once the XM Traders Club dashboard opens, click the “Redeem Now” button.

When the dedicated page opens, select either cash or bonus and choose your preferred trading account, then click “Redeem Now”.

XMC is generated when trading on Standard, Standard Micro, Ultra Low, and Ultra Low Micro accounts. It is not generated on Shares accounts (designed exclusively for stock trading) or Swap Free accounts (available exclusively for Muslim clients).

If you trade on an Ultra Low or Ultra Low Micro account, you will earn XMC, but you cannot redeem XMC for bonuses to use within those account types. If you wish to use bonus credit, please do so on a Standard or Standard Micro account.

Please note that trades where the position is held for less than 5 minutes will not earn XMC. To qualify, you must hold your position for a minimum of 5 minutes. XMC is generated from trades across all instrument types offered by XM.

In other words, the 5-minute rule serves to eliminate unethical traders who use HFT (High-Frequency Trading) to automatically overload the servers, whilst providing a stable server environment for legitimate traders.

XM does not reject orders or requote, and does not permit the use of software such as Virtual Dealer Plugin that conflicts with clients’ interests. Evidence of this is that XM experiences no degradation in server response, and Ping script testing confirms a server response rate exceeding 99.99% — a standard achieved by virtually no other reputable broker that can be independently verified. As such, the “5-minute rule” itself stands as proof that XM is a long-established brokerage that maintains a genuinely client-first stance.

The demotion conditions are the same as the promotion conditions. Although the examples use USDJPY, since GOLD is currently priced above $4,000, you can maintain your status tier with approximately one-fourth of the lot volume required for USDJPY.

If XM detects a breach of its Terms of Service or any prohibited trading practice, your trading account will be suspended and all XMC as well as any bonuses will be forfeited. In such cases, you may be permanently barred from opening a new trading account. The following are the primary violations and prohibited trading activities.

The number of individuals attempting to convert bonuses into cash through hedging trades between different brokers is on the rise. However, such activity is readily detected via the systems of MetaQuotes, the company that manages the trading platforms.

If non-compliant trading is detected, in addition to account suspension, all profits generated will be cancelled and only losses will remain. Please therefore take care to avoid hedging trades or any other methods intended to convert bonuses into cash.

XM permits hedging trades within the same trading account.

XM reserves the right to modify the content of the Traders Club programme or discontinue the service without prior notice. Should any changes be made to the programme, you will be notified by email at the address registered upon sign-up. We therefore recommend checking your email regularly.

The coefficient varies depending on the instrument group traded, your status tier, and your account type. You can refer to the coefficient table below. The cash proportion of margin refers to the proportion of cash used in the trade. If you trade using 100% cash with no bonus funds, this value equals 1.

Example Calculation: Trading 1 Lot of EURUSD at BRONZE Status

1 lot × Contract size 100,000 × Current price 1.09 USD × Settlement currency exchange rate vs USD 1 × (Coefficient 6.5 ÷ 1,000,000) × Cash proportion 1 = 0.7 XMC

XMC earned is rounded down to two decimal places. For example, if the calculation yields 12.0395 XMC, you will actually receive 12.03 XMC. If the XMC amount is 0.009 or less, it is treated as 0 and will not appear in your trade history.

Does XMC have an expiry date?

XMC has a validity period of 1 year. After 1 year from the date earned, XMC will expire and be forfeited. It is therefore advisable to redeem your XMC for bonuses or cash before it expires.

Can XMC be redeemed for cash?

1 XMC can be redeemed for $1 USD in bonus credit. For GOLD status and above, 15 XMC can be exchanged for $1 USD in cash.

Can your status in XM Traders Club be downgraded?

If you fail to reach the required trading volume within a 3-month period (quarter), your status will be downgraded. Each tier has a specified minimum trading volume that must be maintained.

What is the value of XMC?

1 XMC is equivalent to $1 USD in bonus credit. For GOLD status and above, 15 XMC can be redeemed for $1 USD in cash. The rate at which XMC is earned varies depending on your status tier and the instruments you trade.

Can XMC or bonuses be transferred between trading accounts?
