General and Islamic-country schemes

The With swap-free section follows the instrument coverage of the general scheme, and instruments outside that coverage show Outside the general scheme when you open the row. Exness confirms whether the scheme is active on your own account in the Personal Area. Accounts registered in an Islamic country follow separate conditions, and both sets are linked below.

Data sources and calculation methodology +−

Where the figures come from

We read each instrument’s swap rate, calculation method and contract size from Exness MT5 demo accounts for Standard, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero. Exness states that demo accounts have the same trading conditions as real accounts. Exness on demo and real accounts (opens in a new tab)

How the amounts are worked out

The tool averages the samples from the past 24 hours that carry a usable rate. From that rate, it works out the amount for your lot size in US dollars, using prices from the same account.

Where a 24-hour average is unavailable, the tool uses the latest sample, and the row reads latest sampled rate. For instruments priced in USDT, one USDT counts as one US dollar.

The result is one rollover at the standard rate, and the triple swap day shows three times that amount. The 30-day estimate scales the weekly schedule to 30 days at today’s rate. Your own dates and any holidays change the real figure.

Labels and times

Unconfirmed
The tool could not work out a US dollar amount for that side. Rate details shows the data it holds.
$0.00
A calculated result of zero.
Latest sample
At the top, when the selected account last sent a sample.
Older data
The instrument’s rate comes from an earlier sample, and the note gives its time.

All times are UTC.

What the tool covers

The figures cover swaps. Spreads, commission and Exness’s administration fees sit outside them, and rebates are credited separately on your trading. Spreads and commission are compared on the Exness spread and commission page.

Reading the figures

Buy and sell are priced separately on the same instrument, so the tool shows both.

Minus is a cost, plus is paid to you

A negative figure is taken from your account at rollover, and a positive figure is added to it. On many instruments one side reads $0.00, where its rate is zero, so read the side you plan to hold.

Conditional swap-free marks the instruments on Exness’s list

The label appears on instruments in Exness’s general swap-free list. The amount beside it is the normal swap for the account you selected.

Open the row to see both cases:

  • With swap-free*
$0.00 on both sides while your account holds swap-free status. The Exness Personal Area shows your status.
  • Without swap-free
The normal charge, which applies once the status ends.

Instruments outside the list, such as stocks, carry no label. When you open their row, With swap-free reads Outside the general scheme.

Unconfirmed and Older data point you to Rate details

Unconfirmed marks a side the tool could not work out in US dollars. Older data means the rate comes from an earlier sample. Open Rate details to see the number of samples and the time of the latest one.

Swap at 21:00 or 22:00 UTC, and triple swap days

Exness applies swap to positions still open at 21:00 UTC in summer and 22:00 UTC in winter. Swap applies from Monday to Friday, and the triple swap day covers the weekend.

Exness’s summer runs from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, following US daylight saving time. The rest of the year is winter.

Summer (Mar–Nov)21:00
Winter (Nov–Mar)22:00

MetaTrader on Exness runs on UTC, as do the times in the tool, so you can compare them directly. Sources: Exness on swap times (opens in a new tab), the MetaTrader time zone (opens in a new tab) and summer and winter periods (opens in a new tab).

Wednesday for forex and metals, Friday for indices, stocks and crypto

InstrumentsTriple swap day
Forex and metalsWednesday
USDCADThursday
Indices and stocksFriday
CryptoFriday
EnergiesNone

The triple day covers the weekend, because trades settle later across Saturday and Sunday. A few crypto pairs, such as BTCXAU and BTCAUD, take Wednesday instead. Energies such as USOIL carry one swap on each weekday, and public holidays can move the schedule.

Each instrument’s triple day appears when you open its row. USOIL, for example, notes that it has no 3× day, and US30 shows Without swap-free · Friday.

One rollover, the triple day and 30 days

Open a row and the normal amounts appear in three steps, all from the same rate:

  • Estimated swap for one rollover
Buy and sell for one night at the lot size you selected.
  • Without swap-free · Wednesday
The triple swap day, at three times that amount. The day follows the instrument.
  • Without swap-free · 30-day estimate
The weekly schedule scaled to 30 days, for the scale of a longer hold.

Swap rates move with central bank interest rates and with Exness’s commission, which Exness adjusts to market conditions. Use the 30-day figure to compare instruments and accounts at today’s levels. Your account statement gives the amounts that were charged.

Exness’s general swap-free status

Every Exness account starts swap-free

Exness sets all accounts to swap-free by default. The status covers your whole Personal Area, so every account type you hold shares it. Source: Exness swap-free status (opens in a new tab).

To check your status, open Exness benefits in the Personal Area and select Trading conditions.

38 named instruments, plus all crypto and indices

Exness lists the instruments that stay swap-free under this status, in these groups:

Including EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, AUDUSD, EURJPY, GBPJPY and the US Dollar Index (DXY). The exotics are USDZAR and USDTHB.

Stocks, the remaining currency pairs and other metals and energies, such as XNGUSD, pay swap. The tool’s Conditional swap-free label marks each covered instrument, as does Contract Specifications in your Personal Area.

How long it lasts depends on how you trade

Exness decides from your trading activity whether the status continues, using an algorithm. It recommends trading mostly during the day, with few overnight orders. Accounts that regularly hold large amounts of orders overnight can lose the status.

Exness sets out these criteria as a trading pattern rather than a number of days or lots. When your status may change, a notification appears in your Personal Area. The next section covers what follows, and the fees Exness can add on overnight holding.

When swap-free ends, and fees beyond swap

Swap then applies to positions already open

Exness can cancel swap-free status on all your trading accounts. From then on, swap applies to orders already open as well as new ones, and a notification appears in your Personal Area. Source: Exness swap-free status (opens in a new tab).

For the scale of the normal charge on your instrument, read Without swap-free in the tool.

Administration fees apply to accounts Exness selects

Exness can add an administration fee to overnight positions, based on an account’s trading activity. Its trading conditions suit clients who trade mostly within the day, with few overnight orders.

When Exness finds an account outside that scope, it tells the client by email or a Personal Area notification. The fee can apply immediately, including to positions already open.

  • How it is charged
Per trading account and per lot held past 21:00 or 22:00 UTC, Monday to Friday. Smaller volumes pay in proportion.
  • How much
From 1 to 500 USD per lot, depending on the instrument. On 16 September 2026, EURUSD was 25 USD and XAUUSD was 200 USD per lot.
  • Where it shows
As a balance operation on the trading platform. The fee stops at your available balance, but it reduces your margin and can lead to a stop-out.

These fees sit outside the tool’s figures. Exness reviews accounts periodically and can remove the fee. The full schedule is in Exness administration fees on overnight orders (opens in a new tab).

Islamic-country accounts are swap-free on every instrument

Clients registered from Islamic countries receive a separate swap-free status automatically. It covers every account type in the Personal Area and every instrument, including those the tool marks Outside the general scheme.

Exness lists 33 countries, among them Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates. Each status applies independently based on your country of registration. Source: Exness swap-free status for Islamic countries (opens in a new tab).

Other costs, and rebates

Swap sits alongside the spread and any commission for your account type. The Exness spread and commission comparison covers those.

How rebates work alongside the swap

A rebate returns part of the trading cost on qualifying trades. It is paid separately and does not grow with the days you hold, so the figures above are your cost before any rebate. The Exness rebate guide lists the conditions and the steps.

Opening an account for the rebate service

Frequently asked questions about Exness swaps

How many days is gold swap-free on Exness?

XAUUSD, XAUEUR and XAUAUD are on Exness’s general swap-free list. The status lasts while your trading stays mostly within the day, as Exness reviews from your activity, rather than for a set number of days.

On accounts Exness notifies about overnight holding, an administration fee can apply: 200 USD per lot per night on XAUUSD, as listed on 16 September 2026.

Why do the tool’s amounts differ from my statement?

The tool uses a 24-hour average rate and your lot size, in US dollars. Your statement shows each night’s rate, the days charged, whether swap-free applied and any administration fee, in your account currency.

Compare the sample times in Rate details and the triple day in the row with the dates on your statement.

What does a month of holding cost?

Open the row and read Without swap-free · 30-day estimate. It gives the normal charge at today’s rates, before any swap-free status. Administration fees, where Exness applies them, come on top.
