This comparison follows HFM's general offer list, and instruments outside that list show Outside the general offer when you open the row. HFM confirms whether the offer applies to your own account. Data sources and calculation methodology
Where the figures come from
We read each instrument’s swap rate, calculation method and contract size from four live MT5 accounts with HF Markets (SV) Ltd. These accounts hold swap-free status. Their instrument settings still carry the normal rates, so the tool can show both cases.
How the amounts are worked out
The tool averages the samples from the past 24 hours that carry a usable rate. From that rate, it works out the amount for your lot size in US dollars. Where a 24-hour average is unavailable, the tool uses the latest sample, and the row reads latest sampled rate.
The result is one rollover at the standard rate, and the triple swap day shows three times that amount. The 30-day estimate scales the weekly schedule to 30 days at today’s rate. Your own dates and any holidays change the real figure.
Labels and times
- Unconfirmed
- The tool could not work out a US dollar amount for that side. Rate details gives the reason and the data it holds.
- $0.00
- A calculated result of zero.
- Data received
- When the selected account last sent data. Rate details measures each instrument’s rate age from its last usable sample.
- Rollover schedule
- The instrument’s multiplier for each day of the week, in server time, inside Rate details.
All times are UTC.
What the tool covers
The figures cover swaps. Carry Charges, HFM’s additional fees and charges on past trades sit outside them. Spreads and commission are compared on the HFM spread and commission page.
HFM’s published pages on rollover and swap-free trading, and clause 25 of the HF Markets (SV) Ltd Client Agreement, checked on 16 September 2026.

Reading the figures
Buy and sell are priced separately on the same instrument, so the tool shows both.
Minus is a cost, plus is paid to you
A negative figure is taken from your account at rollover, and a positive figure is added to it. On some instruments both sides cost you, so read the side you plan to hold.
Conditional swap-free marks the instruments in HFM’s offer
The label appears on instruments in HFM’s general swap-free list. The amount beside it is the normal rate for your account.
Open the row to see both cases:
- With swap-free*
$0.00 on both sides while your account meets HFM’s conditions. HFM confirms whether the offer applies to your account. - Without swap-free
The normal charge, which applies once the exemption is off.
Instruments outside the list read Outside the general offer when you open the row. The label Check HFM’s offer list appears when an instrument name cannot be matched to the published list. Compare it with the list below.
Unconfirmed marks an amount the tool could not work out
$0.00 is a calculated zero. Open Rate details to see the reason and the rate behind either figure.
Rollover at 00:00 server time, and triple swap days
HFM charges swap on positions still open at 00:00 server time. A position opened at 23:59 is included, and one opened at 00:01 waits for the next rollover.
HFM’s server clock changes on the last Sunday in March and the last Sunday in October. In UTC, the rollover falls at:
| Server time | Rollover (UTC) |
|---|---|
| GMT+3, March–October | 21:00 |
| GMT+2, October–March | 22:00 |
Times inside the tool are UTC, so compare them directly with these. Source: HFM rollover policy (opens in a new tab).
Wednesday is the usual triple swap day, Friday for indices
| Instruments | Triple swap day |
|---|---|
| Forex, gold and oil | Wednesday |
| Indices | Friday |
| 24/7 instruments | Every day 1× |
The triple day carries the weekend, and public holidays are charged as usual. The days follow server time, so check the local day where you live.
Each instrument’s own days are in Rate details, under Rollover schedule. BTCUSD, for example, shows Every day 1×.
One rollover, the triple day and 30 days
Open a row and the normal amounts appear in three steps, all from the same rates:
- Estimated swap for one rollover
Buy and sell for one night at the lot size you selected. - Without swap-free · Wednesday
The triple swap day, at three times that amount. The day follows the instrument. - Without swap-free · 30-day estimate
The weekly schedule scaled to 30 days, for the scale of a longer hold.
HFM reviews swap rates continuously and changes them when needed. Index rates move more often, around dividends. Use the 30-day figure to compare instruments and accounts at today’s levels. Your account statement gives the amounts that were charged.

Oil
USOIL.S
Silver (XAGUSD), XAUUSD247 and BTCUSD sit outside the list. For oil, the list names USOIL.S. The USOIL row on Premium, Pro and Zero is a separate instrument.
The Conditional swap-free label in the tool follows this list, which HFM publishes on its rollover policy page (opens in a new tab).
How long the exemption lasts depends on how you trade
HFM describes the offer as holding positions for “a certain number of days”. The exemption lasts while HFM keeps it in place, and HFM monitors trading history on the listed instruments to check the offer is used correctly.
HFM can withdraw swap-free status at its own discretion. Trading mostly within the day, with few positions held overnight, is the approach HFM names.
The firm number is in the client agreement. Positions open for more than one calendar month can carry additional fees, set out in the next section.
Four accounts, one row per instrument
The tool covers Premium, Pro, Zero and InfinityX with HF Markets (SV) Ltd. HFM’s pages for Premium, Pro and Zero apply swap-free to specific instruments.
The tool puts each instrument’s symbols in one row. The XAUUSD row holds Premium’s XAUUSD, Pro’s XAUUSDr, Zero’s XAUUSDb and InfinityX’s XAUUSDx. On InfinityX, the oil symbol USOILx appears as USOIL and carries the label.
Account names and conditions vary by country and by HFM entity. The InfinityX page opens in the countries where that account is offered.
HFM’s account comparison also lists swap-free for Cent, which trades forex and gold, and lists the Top-up Bonus account without it. On any other account, use that account’s own specifications.

When the exemption ends, and fees beyond swap
These points come from clause 25 of the HF Markets (SV) Ltd Client Agreement, which covers swap-free and Islamic accounts. An account with another HFM entity follows that entity’s agreement. Source: HFM SV Client Agreement, clause 25 (PDF) (opens in a new tab).
HFM can withdraw swap-free status at any time
HFM can remove swap-free status from an account or an instrument at any time, without prior notice (clause 25.6). Instruments outside HFM’s list pay standard swap in every case (clause 25.7).
For the scale of the normal charge on your instrument, read Without swap-free in the tool.
Past trades are charged in two cases
- A position held too long
If HFM considers a holding period excessive, it can charge swap or a similar fee on that position retrospectively (clause 25.4). - Abuse of the offer
If HFM finds the offer used to avoid swap, it can charge swap and fees on past trades, close the trading accounts and take back the profits (clause 25.6).
When a swap charge appears after a withdrawal, check the days it covers on your statement. Charges for earlier days fall under these two cases.
Additional fees sit outside the swap
HFM can add commission fees on swap-free and Islamic accounts, without prior notice:
- Any open position
Following the fee schedule under Fees in your Client Area (clause 25.1) - Ex-dividend dates
On indices and shares (clause 25.2) - More than one calendar month
On positions held that long (clause 25.3)
These fees are outside the tool’s figures. Before a long hold, check Fees in your Client Area. HFM’s Live Support can answer with your account type, instrument and planned number of days.
Islamic accounts follow their own terms
HFM’s Islamic accounts are for clients who observe Sharia law. On some instruments, positions rolled over several days in a row can carry Carry Charges. HFM’s swap-free trading page, linked above, sets out both arrangements.
Other costs, and rebates
Swap sits alongside the spread and any commission for your account type. The HFM spread and commission comparison covers those.
How rebates work alongside the swap
A rebate returns part of the trading cost on qualifying trades. It is paid separately, so the figures above are your cost before any rebate. The HFM rebate guide lists the conditions and the steps.
Opening an account for the rebate service
To open a new HFM account, use the button below. If you already have an HFM account, the rebate guide above explains the steps for existing accounts.
